Founded in 2005, AnaCap is an investment fund specialising in the European financial sector. Its approach is characterised by detailed analysis of risks and effective deployment of its operational expertise. AnaCap was the first fund to receive the approval of the UK regulatory authority for ownership of a banking institution. Through the funds it manages, AnaCap now controls six banks in the European Union (in France, the UK, Belgium, Malta, the Czech Republic and Poland), including one under the regulation of the European Central Bank. In a context of profound regulatory and structural changes, AnaCap's strategy is aimed at making the most of opportunities by carrying out transformations in the institutions of which it is owner.
AnaCap's specialisation comes from its two founders, Joe Giannamore and Peter Cartwright, who have themselves created and managed financial institutions. Accordingly, AnaCap brings its expertise to the companies it controls and shares best practices among them whilst at the same time respecting local specificities.
